Jane has lived with HIV since 1994 and is a passionate advocate for all people living with HIV (PLHIV). She is committed to promoting a positive image of PLHIV, and is passionate about education as a way to help eliminate stigma and discrimination.  She is dedicated to raising awareness around the diverse lived experience of HIV, and the unique challenges facing women and heterosexuals around the epidemic. 

Jane has a background in corporate travel and has lived and worked in both New Zealand and England. She served on the Board of Positive Life NSW from 2010 to 2018, and was Board President for the last six years.  Jane is also a member of Femfatales – the National Network of Women Living with HIV in Australia.

Jane works full time as the Research and Program Manager at the Kirby Institute for two programs - the Sexual Health and Surveillance, and Evaluation and Research. She is currently working on her PhD in Political Science and International Relations after obtaining her Masters in International Studies.
